Maribel Lopez

Maribel Lopez oversees the growth and quality of The Practice Space's K-8 public speaking programs throughout the Bay Area, with a vision for statewide expansion.She ensures these programs meet strategic goals for student engagement, coach development, and school partnerships while fulfilling the organization’s mission.She is a former classroom teacher in West Contra Costa Unified School District and brings over a decade of experience in nonprofit leadership, community outreach, and instructional coaching from roles at GO Public Schools and Teach For America.She holds a Master’s in Urban Education and Leadership from Loyola Marymount University and a degree in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley.Maribel is dedicated to helping young people build confidence and community through inclusive public speaking experiences.
