Terence Johnson

Terence Johnson leads Caliber Public Schools in the East Bay, driving the organization’s mission to provide educational excellence for all students.Terence has over 35 years of experience and began his career as a teacher, athletic director, and principal in Colorado Public Schools before moving to Houston to lead school turnarounds in underserved communities.His impactful tenure at the KIPP Foundation included 12 years as Senior Director of Leadership, where he was instrumental in designing and scaling national leadership development programs, before serving as Chief Schools Officer for KIPP Memphis and Head of Schools for KIPP Houston.Terence holds a B.A. in Education from Colorado State University and an M.A. from the University of Colorado.He is committed to partnering with the Caliber team, parents, and students to build exemplary schools that prepare every learner for future success.
